FAQ’s – Instant Pledge Financing

General Details

Instant Pledge Financing is a short term financing solution to facilitate your liquidity and emergency needs.

All Alfa App customers who invested in Term Deposit Receipt (TDR) instruments in Local Currency (PKR) who need to fulfill their liquidity and emergency needs.

Instant Pledge Financing offers short-term financing solution to eligible customers who hold active investments with Bank Alfalah. Bank Alfalah will assess the creditworthiness and repayment capacity of these customers and assign them a credit limit accordingly. The financing is secured against the customer’s pledged investment(s) booked through Bank Alfalah. The customer will apply via Alfa App to receive instant disbursement in his account and address any short-term financial needs. Repayment terms are flexible. No, this option is only valid for Alfa App customers who hold active investment(s). Moreover, wallet customers are not eligible for this product offering.

No, this option is not valid for Roshan Digital Account holders. However, you can apply for Instant Pledge Financing if you have another Bank Alfalah account and are registered on Alfa App while also hold active investment(s).

Minimum limit of PKR 50,000 and maximum limit of PKR 7,000,000 can be assigned through Instant Pledge Financing.

Instant Pledge Financing limit assigned is based on credit worthiness and customer’s investment assessment as per Bank Alfalah’s policy with maximum financing ratio up to 70% of face value of pledged collateral at the time of booking of credit facility.

There are multiple options ranging from 1 months to 12 months.

Below steps will be followed to avail Instant Pledge Financing:

  1. First, select Instant Pledge Financing option from Alfa App.
  2. Bank Alfalah will verify if the customer has invested in any securities actively.
  3. If you are an active investor, you can choose a Term Deposit Receipt (TDR), Mutual Fund (MF), or Investment Plan (IPS) instrument from your portfolio to use as collateral.
  4. If you do not have any active investments, you must first book an eligible instrument (such as a Mutual Fund Unit, TDR, or IPS) before proceeding to select security collateral for the financing.
  5. You will:
    • Select the investment instrument you want to pledge / offer as security collateral
    • Complete and submit KYC information
    • Provide desired amount and tenure of financing
  6. Once you qualify, the Alfa App will inform you about your tentative credit limit amount.
  7. You will receive the documentation digitally through the Alfa App.
  8. Repayment of principal and markup payment will be payable on due date as per selected financing tenor.

It is necessary to have active investment(s) with Bank Alfalah to avail Instant Pledge Financing facility. You can book an investment through Alfa App and then avail this product offering.

Yes, customers can apply for multiple facilities depending upon their credit assessment against each active investment with Bank Alfalah.

You can club your investments and avail a higher financing amount when applying for Instant Pledge Financing.

You can view the facility limit details by logging on Alfa app, clicking on ‘More’ > ‘Manage existing loans’ > ‘Instant Pledge Financing’. To download Alfa App: //onelink.to/u9b8fx.

Repayment of principal and profit payment will be done in lump-sum and will be automatically deducted from your account. You can also settle your financing against pledged instrument. The amount deducted will be visible in your respective bank’s monthly statement.

The tenure is fixed once Bank Alfalah assigns your credit limit and instantly disburses your credit amount to your account. However, you can avail an additional Instant Pledge Financing by pledging another investment instrument.

Charges

Once your credit limit is approved and disbursement is credited to your account, Processing Fee will be deducted upfront from your account as per Schedule of Bank Charges.

Cancelation

You can cancel your application any time prior to inserting OTP. After inserting OTP, your Instant Pledge Financing facility is digitally booked and funds disbursed to your account in real-time.

Payments

The bank will give you a grace period after maturity to repay and settle your principal and markup. You can settle the due amount either through your own sources or by liquidating the respective pledged security(ies). In case of nonpayment, your pledged security(ies) against this credit limit will be liquidated by Bank Alfalah to settle both principal and markup whereas any remaining amount will be credited to your account.

Please note, all repayment information is submitted to ECIB in case of late payment as per regulatory requirements.

Yes, early payments can be done by logging on Alfa > clicking on ‘More’ > ‘Manage existing loans’ > ‘Instant Pledge Financing’ > ‘Dashboard’ > Select the Instant Pledge Financing facility you want to prepay and settle.

Installment option is not available.

There is no partial repayment/settlement option. You can only settle the due amount in full.

To collect No Objection Certificate (NOC), please clear complete outstanding dues of Instant Pledge Financing. Go to Alfa App > Manage existing loans > Instant Pledge Financing > Dashboard > Select eNOC to download.

eNOC will only be enabled once outstanding amounts are cleared by customer.

Once your payment is deducted from your account, you will receive digital confirmation from Bank Alfalah registered number/email/in-app notification (as per respective Bank’s policy). In case you haven’t received any confirmation, you can review payment status on Alfa App or reach the Call Center team 24/7 via call at 111-225-111 or email a query/complaint at contactus@bankalfalah.com
