National Financial Literacy Program

Bank Alfalah is proud to contribute in financial inclusion through National Financial Literacy Program (NFLP). An initiative to create awareness of basic financial education for the general public. When NFLP-I was rolled out in Sep 2017 by State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) Bank Alfalah has been a leading contributor to serve the cause. Bank Alfalah conducted financial literacy awareness session reaching out to 7000 beneficiaries across rural and urban areas of the country.

Keeping in view the national importance of financial literacy and inclusion for the country, the NFLP Steering Committee, has decided to continue the program for next five (5) years as well. Bank Alfalah will continue to serve the cause NFLP-II. The program is now being funded through banks’ own resources.

In 2023, Bank Alfalah reached over 7,000 beneficiaries across 26 districts, creating financial literacy, through 180 Class room Sessions: (2551- 53% females /2230- 47% males/ 17- 1% transgender) bringing  4273 (89%) people into financial circle. We also arranged 37 successful street theaters (1434-53% females 1271- 47% males) leading to financial inclusion of another 2483-92%

For Year 2023-24, we have increased focus to address female population. To achieve the same, we would welcome NGO’s and community workers to collaborate with us in order to create financial awareness among unbanked community especially females.
