Prime Minister’s Youth Business & Agriculture Loan Scheme (PMYB&ALS)

Scope & Eligibility:

  • All citizens of Pakistan holding CNIC, aged between 21 and 45 years (18 for IT professionals having matriculation or equivalent education) with entrepreneurial potential are eligible.
    • Age limit is applicable on individuals and sole proprietors.
    • Other forms of business including partnerships and companies, only one of the owners, partners or directors must be in the age bracket prescribed above.
  • Small and Medium Enterprises (startups and existing businesses) owned by youth as per above mentioned age brackets are also eligible.
  • In case of agriculture, farmers’ classification as per SBP’s “Indicative Credit Limits & Eligible Items for Agriculture Financing 2020” will be applicable.

Offering:

  • Long Term / Development Loans 
  • Working Capital/Production Loans

Loan Tenor:

  • For Long Term/ Development Loans: Upto 8 years (Grace period upto 1 Year)
  • For Working Capital/ Production Loans: Upto 5 years (Option for Grace Period wherein only markup will be payable during first 2 years).

Limit Structure:

As per bank’s own credit policy

Security Requirements:

  • Security arrangements will be as under:
    • T-2 loans: Clean; however personal guarantee of the borrower/sponsors
    • T3 loans: As per bank’s own credit policy

Gender Equality

  • 25% of the loans will go to women borrowers.

Target Market (Geography/Sectors)

  • All business segments/sectors spread across Pakistan, including Agriculture
